In 2018 I quit my job as an air traffic controller to go touring around the UK & Europe in a motorhome. I'd never been in a motorhome before and had no clue how it all worked.

I've felt the overwhelm, frustration and the feeling that everyone else has read some motorhoming handbook that I wasn't given...

I've travelled in many formats: as a family with our teenage daughter, as a couple who lived and worked from the motorhome and as a solo female full-time vanlifer. Each had specific challenges and each required a new HUGE learning curve.

I spent 3 weeks on a campsite because I was too scared to drive 'the beast' by myself and didn't want to look foolish. I've been unsure how to find places to stay, terrified to stay off-grid or travel to Europe and had no clue where to go to get the answers I needed.

Much of the information on websites, forums or Facebook groups was outdated or wrong and I struggled to get sensible answers to even the simplest questions.

I often wished I had a motorhoming friend whom I could ask for advice or a friendly community I could turn to for help and support (without the sarcastic answers!)

I couldn't find a community which was right for me, so I decided to create it.

Despite now having driven over 70,000 miles in a motorhome, including driving across Europe and around Iceland by myself, I still enjoy sharing my tips, adventures (and mistakes!) with others.

I love helping people who are feeling nervous, confused or overwhelmed and showing them how much freedom and adventure can be found on the open road.

I've created the space and community I wish I'd had as a beginner and still enjoy using today...

The Wandering Motorhome Club is the perfect place for motorhome and road trip enthusiasts to learn and connect.

Our goal is to make your motorhome life easier and more fun. As a member, you'll get access to loads of helpful tools like checklists, mini-courses, live calls, webinars and Q & A sessions- all geared toward making your motorhome adventures even better.

We're here to help you out whenever you need support, offering tips and ideas as you hit the road. Plus, you'll meet other friendly folks just like you who love exploring the world in their motorhomes.

Can I get this information for free online?
Nope. Sure, you might be able to get answers to your questions (if you trust the source!) but nowhere else does learning AND confidence building AND community like we do
When will the monthly live calls take place?
The calls will take place in the evening (UK time), usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (unless otherwise announced). You'll find a full list of calls for the next few months inside the Club Hub. Don't worry if you can't make it live- you can still submit questions in advance and watch the replay.
And no, you don't have to speak or have your video on for the calls if you don't want to- you can just listen and take notes.
Do I have to do the meetups?
Not at all! You don't have to join a single event or live call if you don't want to. But the opportunity is there for you to come along whenever you'd like.
Is this just for UK based motorhomers?
Not necessarily, but please bear in mind we will be talking about the law and places in the UK and most of the meetups will be in the UK or Europe, so you may not get the full benefit if you're overseas.
How long am I tied into this club for?
However long you like! It's really easy to cancel your membership- we don't want to keep anyone who doesn't want to be there or make you feel trapped.

Because of the nature of this Club and the amount of information we give away inside, no refunds can be given after 7 days of purchase. If you join and decide it's not for you, email us at support@wandering-bird.com and we'll refund and cancel your subscription.

And if you have any issues at any time, you can just email us to get them sorted :)
I haven't bought a motorhome/ camper yet- can I still join?
You absolutely can but... this membership is focussed on making the most of your vehicle. If you haven't yet got a van, you won't be able to join meetups and might feel a bit lost. Having said that, if you're getting one soon it's full of LOADS of practical trainings to help you get started in the best possible way! My advice would be join within one month of delivery, so you can get prepared and be ready to go from the first day!
