If we've not met before, I wanted to let you know that I get it.

In 2018 I quit my job as an air traffic controller to go touring around the UK & Europe in a motorhome. I'd never been in a motorhome before and had no clue how it all worked.

I've felt the overwhelm, frustration and the feeling that everyone else has read some motorhoming handbook that I wasn't given...

I've travelled in many formats: as a family with our teenage daughter, as a couple who lived and worked from the motorhome and as a solo female full-time vanlifer. Each had specific challenges and each required a new HUGE learning curve.

When I started touring by myself, I spent 3 weeks on a campsite because I was too scared to drive 'the beast' and didn't want to look foolish. I've been unsure how to find places to stay, terrified to stay off-grid or travel to Europe and had no clue where to go to get the answers I needed.

Much of the information on websites, forums or Facebook groups was outdated or wrong and I struggled to get sensible answers to even the simplest questions.

I often wished I had a motorhoming friend whom I could ask for advice or a friendly community I could turn to for help and support (without the sarcastic answers!)

Despite now having driven over 70,000 miles in a motorhome, including driving solo across Europe and around Iceland, I still love encouraging and helping others by sharing my tips, adventures (and mistakes!)

I love helping people who feel nervous, confused or overwhelmed and showing them how much freedom and adventure can be found on the open road, once they've learned these tips.

When will the monthly live calls take place?
The calls will take place in the evening (UK time), usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (unless otherwise announced). You'll find a full list of calls for the next few months inside the Club Hub. Don't worry if you can't make it live- you can still submit questions in advance and watch the replay.
And no, you don't have to speak or have your video on for the calls if you don't want to- you can just listen and take notes.
Do I have to do the meetups?
Not at all! You don't have to join a single event or live call if you don't want to. But the opportunity is there for you to come along whenever you'd like.
Is this just for UK based motorhomers?
Not necessarily, but please bear in mind we will be talking about the law and places in the UK and most of the meetups will be in the UK or Europe.
How long am I tied into this club for?
However long you like! It's really easy to cancel your membership- we don't want to keep anyone who doesn't want to be there or make you feel trapped.

Because of the nature of this Club and the amount of information we give away inside, no refunds can be given after 14 days of purchase. If you join and decide it's not for you, email us at support@wandering-bird.com and we'll refund and cancel your subscription.
